Alerton MICROSET 4
The MICROSET 4 is a carbon dioxide, temperature, and humidity sensor with a display that can be used for long-term monitoring and demand control ventilation.
Hub Highlights:
- Configurable display which can show values of CO2, temperature, humidity, and HVAC operating mode
- Requires a controller and specialized training on Alerton's configuration environment to operate or connect to a building automation system
- Excellent performance on Hub CO2 accuracy testing protocols
- Includes temperature and humidity sensors. Can output sensor values through a connected controller

User Interface
Can the sensor display the CO2 level to occupants? If yes describe.
Yes - Display on the sensor
User Interface
Can the sensor display a visual indicator to occupants that the CO2 level has exceeded a programmed threshold? If yes, describe (what does the indicator look like, what the default thresholds are, and can the threshold be changed).
No
Reporting Capabilities
Can the sensor alert facilities (such as an email, text, or call phone application) when the CO2 level has exceeded a programmed threshold? If yes, describe (what does the indicator look like and can the threshold be changed).
Yes - Alerts can be generated when sensor is connected to a building automation system. Alert functionality is determined by building automation system manufacturer.
Reporting Capabilities, Integration Capabilities
How can the CO2 sensor data be logged? If proprietary software, describe (what type of account is needed, what logging intervals are available, what does it look like, and describe its capabilities including data download capabilities).
Logging data is dependent on functionality of BAS that sensor is connected to
Integration Capabilities
Can the CO2 sensor interface with a building automation system (BAS) or demand control ventilation (DCV) system controller? If yes, describe if integration capabilities are vendor specific.
Yes - Alerton platform only
Integration Capabilities
If sensor can interface with a BAS or DCV system controller, is additional hardware required?
An additional piece of hardware (controller) is required
Installation
Does the sensor require specialized software for installation? If yes, describe
Yes - Requires an authorized technician to configure the software
Installation
Does the sensor require specialized training for installation? If yes, describe
No - See response to question 7 on software configuration
Operation
Does the sensor require on-going maintenance? If yes, describe
No
Operation
Does the sensor require service contracts for ongoing data access? If yes, describe
No - If sensor is connected to BAS, service contracts may be required for BAS functionality
